The Turkish Statistical Institute has reported that over 27 million visitors went to Turkey in 2007 of which 5.6 million were during the months of October, November and December. According to the report, tourism expenditure was up a massive 43.9% during the period October to December compared with the same period in 2006. Like Spain in the late 1990’s, tourism is and will become a major factor in the increase in demand for holiday home or investment property.
